2. Network Monitoring

This is a feature that allows you to check the network connection quality between the remote browser of the container and the user browser in real time.
Real-time monitoring of network status allows for quick responses in case of issues.

How to Use

  1. Accessing the business system (website) after connecting to SHIELDGate
  2. Click the Performance icon on the right side of the top bar.
  3. Check the current value, 30-second average value, and trend changes of each indicator in the Performance status window through graphs.
  4. Close the status window by clicking the icon again

Detailed Guide to Performance Metrics

1. Page Load Time

Measures the time it takes for the webpage to load.

Unit: ms

Measurement Details

  • Analysis of Loading Time by Individual Resource
  • Total Page Load Time
  • Identifying the Causes of Loading Delays

General Performance Criteria

  • Excellent: Within 1-3 seconds
  • Normal: 3-5 seconds
  • Needs Improvement: More than 5 seconds

2. Video Information

Displays streaming quality information for the remote browser.

Video Codec

  • Current Video Codec in Use

Resolution

  • Resolution of the currently streaming video

3. FPS (Frames Per Second)

Measures the number of frames displayed per second.

Unit: fps
FeaturesThe greater the change on the screen, the higher it rises.

General Performance Criteria

  • 30+ fps: Very smooth screen
  • 20-30 fps: Smooth screen
  • 15-20 fps: Slight stuttering phenomenon
  • Less than 15 fps: Severe stuttering

Improvement Methods

  • Check Network Speed
  • Device Performance Check (CPU, GPU)
  • Terminate Background Process

4. Bitrate

Measures the amount of data transmitted per second.

Unit: Mbps
FeaturesThe greater the change on the screen, the higher it rises.

General Quality Standards

  • High Quality: 3+ Mbps
  • Standard: 1-3 Mbps
  • Low Quality: 0.5-1 Mbps
  • Defective: Below 0.5 Mbps

Improvement Methods

  • Check Network Bandwidth
  • Pause simultaneous downloads
  • Suspension of Streaming Service

5. Packet Loss

Indicates the ratio of lost data packets among the transmitted data.

Unit: %

General Acceptance Criteria

  • Excellent: 0-1%
  • Good: 1-3%
  • Caution: 3-5%
  • Defective: More than 5%

Symptoms when occurring

  • Video Stuttering and Freezing
  • Input Delay and Loss
  • Screen Refresh Phenomenon

6. Latency

Measures the time it takes for user input to be reflected on the screen.

Unit: ms
Display: Display with 30-second average value

General Performance Criteria

  • Excellent: 0-100ms
  • Good: 100-200ms
  • Defective: More than 200ms

Improvement Methods

  • Network Environment Check

7. Jitter

Measures the variability of latency to indicate connection stability.

Unit: ms
Display: Display with 30-second average value

General Stability Criteria

  • Stability: 0-30ms
  • Normal: 30-100ms
  • Unstable: More than 100ms

Improvement Methods

  • Change from WiFi to wired connection
  • Check Network Congestion
  • Check for Electromagnetic Interference

8. Traffic Rate

Measures the amount of data transmitted per second in real-time.

Unit: KB/s
FeaturesThe greater the change on the screen, the higher it rises.
Display: Display with 30-second average value

Improvement Methods

  • Network Connection Status Check
  • Firewall Configuration Check
  • VPN Configuration Check

9. Connection Information

Displays detailed connection status and network information with the remote browser.

Display Item

  • ID: Connection Identifier
  • State: Connection Status (succeeded, connecting, failed, disconnected)
  • Sent/Received: Total amount of data sent and received
  • RTT: Round Trip Time (Round Trip Time)
  • Local: Network address of the user device
  • Remote: Network address of the remote server
  • Transport Policy: Transmission Policy Settings
  • Bundle Policy: Bundle Policy Settings
  • RTCP Policy: RTCP Policy Settings
  • Candidate Pool Size: Candidate pool size
