Teams Integration Guide


1. Using the Teams APP​

Supports access and use of SHIELDrive through the APP in Teams.

Adding the SHIELDrive App​

  1. Access the Microsoft Teams admin center.
  2. Log in with a Microsoft admin account.
  3. Click on [Teams app] - [App management] in the left menu.
  4. Click "+ Upload New App" in the top list.
  5. Click the "Upload" button in the "Custom App Upload" modal.
  6. Select the SHIELDrive app file and upload it.(SHIELDrive Agent file is required.)

SHIELDrive App Update​

  1. Change the version of the SHIELDrive app file to a version different from the currently applied version.
  2. Microsoft Teams admin center > Go to [Teams apps] - [App management].
  3. Search for SHIELDrive in the search bar to navigate to the detail information page.
  4. Upload the newly created zip file through the "Upload File" button.
  5. Update reflection time: web Teams within 5 minutes, app Teams within 72 hours

2. Using Message Extension​

You can conveniently share files within SHIELDrive on Teams through Message Extension.

  • [Post] Tab: File Sharing for SHIELDrive Teams Channel
  • [Chat]: SHIELDrive Full File Sharing
  • You can attach and share up to 6 files.

3. Creating a Tab​

You can create a SHIELDrive Tab with storage information within Teams.

  1. Click the "+" at the top of the Teams [Channel] page.
  2. Click "Save" in the "Add Tab with SHIELDrive Storage Information" modal.

Reference: The storage name, type, and description are fixed values and will not change.
