The Teams web app runs in an isolated server environment, protecting the user's PC from malware and security threats while providing a user experience equivalent to the regular desktop Teams app.

Q. Since you can use Teams with just SHIELD Gate, why is the Teams App necessary?​

You can access Teams through SHIELD Gate web isolation, but there are usability constraints such as:

Q. How do I log in?​

Log in with your SHIELD Gate account (company account).

Login Procedure:

  1. Select SHIELD Gate server to connect on first run
  2. Entering SHIELD Gate account information
  3. Login information is stored locally in an encrypted format.
  4. Automatic login will be possible from the next execution.

Q. Which operating systems are supported?​

Supports Windows, macOS, and Linux.

You can download the installation files suitable for each operating system and use them.

Q. How do I receive notifications?​

The Teams App runs continuously in the background to receive real-time notifications properly.

Q. What happens if I minimize or close the app?​

Minimize or Close Window:

  • Run in the background with the tray icon
  • Session maintained to continue receiving notifications
  • You can reopen the window at any time by clicking the tray icon.

Complete termination:

  • Complete exit when "Exit" is selected from the tray icon.
  • Or exit after logging out from the menu.

Difference from web isolation methods:

  • Web isolation ends the session when the browser is closed.
  • Teams App maintains session independently of the browser

Q. Can I use the video conferencing feature?​

Yes, it supports all video conferencing features such as screen sharing, camera, and microphone.

Yes, it operates according to the browser language.

Q. How is file security processing carried out?​

The following security measures are applied according to the administrator settings:

When uploading:

When downloading:
