Document Grade Guide

The document classification feature controls the upload-download-move-copy of files based on the security level assigned to the storage. This document guides the actions on the user screen. For information on how to designate and set storage levels, please refer to the "Document Classification Guide (Administrator)."

The features below are only exposed and functional when the security level feature is activated, and storage that is not assigned a level (unassigned) is not subject to level control.

1. Upload Grade Action​

When uploading files to storage with a specified tier, the tier is compared.

  • If the document's security level is higher than the storage level (more sensitive), the upload will be blocked. (Downward blocking)
  • Files without a grade follow the administrator's "Unrated File Upload" setting. If allowed, they will be uploaded and automatically assigned the same security grade as the storage.

Caution - Unsupported extensions: Files in formats that cannot have a security level assigned follow the "Unrated File Upload" setting. If allowed, they will be uploaded without a rating and will be marked as "Unrated" in the list.

2. Security Level Indication​

The security level of the uploaded file and storage is indicated by a badge at the following location.

  • Storage Top: Current Security Level Badge of the Storage

  • File list: "Security Level" column badge

  • Detailed Information: Security Level Item in the File Detail Panel

Files without a grade are marked as "Grade Not Specified."

3. Download Rating Action​

When downloading files from storage with a specified grade, the grade is compared.

  • Documents with assigned classifications are controlled for release according to the classification relationship. (Downward Blocking)
  • Files without a grade follow the administrator's "Unrated File Download" setting.
  • If blocked by control, the following notification will be displayed.

You cannot perform this operation according to the security level policy.

Caution - Unsupported Extensions: Files in formats that cannot have a security level assigned follow the "Unspecified Level File Download" setting. If allowed, they pass.

4. Move-Copy Grade Operation​

When moving or copying files to another storage, it is controlled according to the grade relationship between the source and destination storage. The cases where it is blocked and the notification phrases are as follows.

Caution - Unsupported Extensions: Files in formats that cannot have a security level assigned follow the same criteria as unclassified files.
