File Upload and Download Guide
The SHIELD Gate Teams app allows for secure file transfers between local PCs and Teams. Optionally, you can leverage additional security features in conjunction with SHIELD Drive.
1. File Upload
1.1 Drag and Drop Upload
This is the easiest way to upload files.
- Select the file to upload from the explorer.
- Drag the file to the Teams chat window or channel.
- A transparent overlay is displayed on the screen.
- Uploading will start when you drop the file.
1.2 Check Upload Progress
- A progress bar will appear when the file upload starts.
- You can check the upload progress in real-time.
- The currently transferred capacity is displayed along with the percentage.
1.3 Upload Limitations
- Basic upload method: No restrictions (applies Teams' own limitations)
- When linked with SHIELD Drive: Up to 100MB
1.4 Multiple File Upload
- You can select multiple files at once and drag and drop them.
- The upload progress of each file is displayed individually.
2. File Download
2.1 Download to Local PC
- Click on the file to download in Teams.
- Select the download icon or menu.
- The file will be saved in the Downloads folder of the local PC.
2.2 Download via SHIELD Drive (Optional)
If the administrator has set up SHIELD Drive integration:
- An option to choose the save location will be displayed when downloading the file.
- SHIELD DriveSelect.
- Files are securely stored on SHIELD Drive.
- You can check and manage files in SHIELD Drive.
3. SHIELD Drive Integration (Optional Feature)
3.1 What is SHIELD Drive?
- It is a storage system for safely storing files downloaded in an isolated environment.
- If additional security is needed, it can be configured by the administrator.
3.2 Advantages of Using SHIELD Drive

3.3 SHIELD Drive Integration Confirmation

- If the option is not displayed, only local download is available.
4. File Transfer Best Practices
4.1 Security
- Files containing sensitive information are recommended to use SHIELD Drive.
- Check if the file name contains sensitive information before uploading the file.
4.2 Performance
- It is recommended to split large files (over 100MB) for transmission.
- If the network status is unstable, start by transferring small files.
4.3 Summary

- When using SHIELD Drive, delete unnecessary files to manage storage space.
