Top Bar Settings​

In the SHIELDGate top bar settings, users can manage the functions of the top bar that are displayed when accessing the business system.

Feature Overview​

Top bar custom URL buttonThis is a feature that allows users to easily access the URL specified by the administrator.

Also,Passing user information as parameters along with the URLThis can be utilized in various linked services of the client company.

Automatic forwarding parameters​

SHIELDGate automatically adds the following parameters when navigating to the configured URL:

  • url: The URL of the page the user is currently accessing.
  • companyName: Company name the user belongs to
  • userEmail: User's email address
  • time: Request occurrence time (in Unix timestamp format)

Main Features​

  1. Customizable button:

    • The button name and URL can be set directly by the administrator.

  2. Automatic parameter passing:

    • Automatically send user information (email, company name, etc.) along with the URL when the button is clicked.

  3. Simple activation settings:

    • Enabling "Usage" will display the button on the top bar, while disabling it will hide it.

How to set up​

  1. Activate Custom URL Button:

    • **"Top bar custom URL button"in the section"Use"**Activate the switch

  2. Enter URL nameEnter the name to display on the bar button.

    • For example: "Report an issue", "Request support", "Customer service", etc.

  3. Enter URL:

    • Enter the URL to navigate to when the button is clicked.
    • Example:https://feedback.softcamp.co.kr

  4. Save:

    • Once all inputs are completed,**"Save"**Click the button to save the settings.

Parameter usage example​

Entered URL:

https://feedback.softcamp.co.kr

Actual URL being called:

https://feedback.softcamp.co.kr?url={현재 접속 중인 URL}&userEmail={사용자 이메일}&time={요청 시간}&companyName={사용자 회사명}

URL viewing feature​

Feature Overview​

View URLThe feature activates when the user accesses the work system.**Display the currently connected URL in the top address bar.**This is a function that controls whether to do it or not.

Purpose of Use​

If feature activation is required:

  • When the user needs to check the information of the site they are currently connected to.
  • When you need to copy and share a URL for work purposes.
  • When you want to provide a transparent connection environment

In cases where disabling the feature is necessary:

  • When you want to hide the actual URL of the internal system registered with the app.
  • When you want to avoid exposing complex URL structures to users
  • An environment where URL information needs to be restricted for security reasons.

How to set up​

  1. Accessing the SHIELDGate Admin Page:

    • Admin Page →Settings → Top Bar SettingsGo to menu

  2. URL view feature settings:

    • **"View URL"Right in the section"Use"**Enable/Disable toggle
    • When activated: The current access URL and a copy button are displayed at the top of the user screen.
    • When deactivated: URL information is hidden on the user screen.

  3. Save Settings:

    • To apply the changes,**"Save"**Click the button

Default Display Settings for the Top Bar of the Work System​

Feature Overview​

Default Display Settings for the Top Bar of the Work Systemis the administrator**Set the initial display state of the RBI top bar to overall.**This is a feature that can be performed.

User's individual settings are retained,**Default values applied when first connecting or resetting settings.**You can manage __PH_0__.

Setting Location​

Settings Options​

  • Display(Default): Start with the top bar expanded
  • Hidden: Start with the top bar hidden

How to operate the user top bar​

Users can manipulate the top bar in the RBI environment as follows:

Hide top bar​

  1. Displayed in the top barHide iconClick
  2. The top bar slides up and is hidden.
  3. Web content is displayed in full screen.
  4. Settings are automatically saved and applied across other windows and sessions.

Expand top bar​

  1. when the top bar is hiddenMouse hover over the top bar area
  2. The top bar temporarily slides down and appears (showing the expand icon).
  3. Click the expand iconThe top bar is fixed (changed to hide icon)
  4. If the expand icon is not clicked when the hover is released, the top bar will be hidden again.

Precautions​

URL viewing feature​

  1. Security Considerations:

    • Since the URL structure of the internal system may be exposed, make decisions carefully according to security policies.
    • It is recommended to disable the feature if sensitive URL information is included.

  2. User Experience:

    • When the feature is disabled, users may find it difficult to determine their current location.
    • Appropriate settings are required according to the nature of the work.

Custom URL Button​

  1. URL format validation:

    • The entered URL must be in a valid format (http://orhttps://) must be

  2. Parameter Passing:

    • SHIELDGate automatically adds parameters to the specified URL and transmits them.
    • The customer can utilize or ignore the parameter as needed.

  3. Check Network Environment:

    • It is necessary to check whether the configured URL is accessible from the internal network or the external network.

  4. Multi-button limit:

    • Currently, only one button can be set, and adding multiple buttons is not supported.

FAQ​

**Q: The URL viewing feature has been disabled, but the user wants to know the current URL.**A: Consider using custom URL buttons to provide necessary information or guide through work manuals.

**Q: The custom URL button is not working.**Check if the "Use" setting is enabled and if the URL format is correct.

**Q: Do I have to use the parameters?**A: SHIELDGate always passes parameters, but customers can utilize or ignore them as needed.

**Q: How can I display the top bar again when it is hidden?**A: When you hover over the top bar area at the top of the screen, the top bar temporarily appears, and clicking the expand icon at this time will fix the top bar.
